Machinist

This position produces precision parts for both in-house and customer use, in strict accordance with specified drawings, instructions and procedures, by using both manual and CNC-operated fabrication equipment.

DUTY SUMMARY: Examine routing, work orders, blueprints, Bill of Materials, or other work specifications to visualize the part(s) to be manufactured. Calculate fabrication dimensions and map out the sequence of work steps to be executed. Obtain necessary materials and components from the Tool crib area when required. Measure and mark the raw metal block to outline the machining work using the appropriate measuring tools. Set up and operate both manual and CNC machinery to produce parts following the provided instructions. Perform heat treatment on final parts when necessary. Inspect completed parts to confirm alignments and clearances for dimensional accuracy. Assemble final parts using fasteners and other essential hand tools according to the routing instructions. Refine and polish flat and contoured surfaces of the final part(s) using suitable abrasive tools. Develop a plan for corrective measures in case of deviations from component quality standards. Execute corrective measures by making required adjustments as instructed. Decide on the appropriate action for non-conforming products as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma preferred. Proficient in machining. Experienced with CNC. Able to operate complex machinery. Advanced understanding of blueprints. Proficient in shop math. Skilled in troubleshooting. Patient and detail-oriented. Comfortable with deadlines and training. Team player with good communication skills.

Pay Rate: Starting range $20.75-$22.50 per hour
*Pay is negotiable depending on experience, with quarterly bonuses and a benefits package provided.

MAINtenance iii

This is a third-level maintenance position that requires carrying out various electrical projects and performing extensive, technical corrective maintenance throughout the facility.  

Responsibilities• Ensure comprehensive power distribution throughout the plant, covering machinery, lighting, research, planning, installation, and repairs, including outlets and receptacles. Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, or rectify equipment issues. Construct or reconstruct equipment as needed. Address electrical and mechanical HVAC problems, excluding freon-related issues. Record work orders, communication with external service technicians, and other relevant information. Aid in managing electrical supply inventory. Monitor and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment according to the schedule or checklist, including tasks like greasing, lubricating, checking temperature controls, and changing filters.*ADVANCED RESPONSIBILITIES**Install and maintain wing, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components like transformers and circuit breakers. Diagnose electrical issues using various testing equipment. Possess knowledge of National electrical codes. Understand state and local regulations related to the field.

Education/Experience Requirements• Electrician Journeyman experience preferred.  Associate's Degree or 5 years experience in electrical technology, instrumentation, and production equipment.  Must understand the following concepts: various methods of heat control (e.g. T/C, controllers, heater bands), the injection molding process, electrical/electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, PLCs, schematics, and other technical drawings

Pay Rate: Starting at $23-$25 per hour

Design Engineer II

This position is responsible for creating new product and tooling designs, in strict accordance with established engineering principles and quality standards.  

DUTY SUMMARY: Research and analyze data, such as design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other resources, to determine the feasibility and parameters of design, fabrication, assembly, and application. Develop complex 3D part and assembly models along with2D design documentation. Devise new or modified designs based on customer’s specifications. Modify product/tooling design when necessary to ensure that functional and operational performance requirements are met. Review and approve designs of other designers and engineers. Share systems knowledge with other design staff. Maintain clean workstation throughout each shift. Understand and follow quality-related standards and documentation. Provide cross-training on engineering design concepts to coworkers, as directed. Project management. Customer interaction including technical reviews, DFMs, design consultation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a thorough understanding of the following: Solidworks CAD, PDM, AutoCAD, product design, injection mold design, tooling design, precision tool fabrication, production manufacturing. Minimum of 5 years experience in precision manufacturing. Must have the following advanced math skills:  Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics. Must have the ability to read various schematics and technical drawings. Must be able to operate computers and software used in this position (Solidworks, PDM, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, etc.). Must have the ability to recognize critical phases of a project. Must be able to work with the public in a professional manner. Must demonstrate organizational and time management skills. Must be comfortable with on-the-job training, cross-training and training others. Must be able to work as a team-player as well as independently.

Pay Rate: Salary starting at $65K.
